The gencod (EAN 13), or barcode also called GTIN is used by trade and industry according to GS1 specifications.
The EAN number uniquely identifies items or logistics units. Encoded as barcodes, the EAN number can be read by a specific reader, called barcode reader. The EAN number is the basis for controlling the flow of goods from the manufacturer to the final consumer.
In case of automatic assignment of a GENCOD to the product click on the button "Automatic GENCOD/EAN13 on this reference", the system automatically assigns a GENCOD for each size and color from the last GENCOD number specified in the folder settings.
In case of mass assignment for products that have never had a GENCOD, click on
« Automatic GENCOD/EAN13 on all references »
Note:
Naturally, products with a GENCOD can be recalled from it in the order, receipt and sale modules.
It is quite possible to generate the GENCOD from the order and receipt module (before acknowledging receipt of stocks):
