Article Summary

This program allows customers to earn points based on the amount of their purchases. When the customer has reached a certain number of loyalty points, he will be entitled to gifts. Some gifts require more or less points to be offered. This comes in the form of loyalty levels.

It is also possible to use this loyalty program to convert points into discounts at the time of sale.

It is only possible to offer one gift per sale.

This program requires the creation of product sheets in Fastmag for physical gifts.

How to set up a loyalty program?

Step 1: Settings: 

From the Management menu, select the menu "Management of customer loyalty levels and points"

This screen allows you to make the different settings and levels for starting the management of customer loyalty points.

Settings tab 

Calculation of points: 

  • Choose how much corresponds to 1 point compared to X euros of in-store purchases.
  • Choose to include or exclude products already discounted in the loyalty program.
  • Choose to include or exclude sale products in the loyalty program.

Use of points:

  • For direct use of cashback points, indicate how much corresponds to 1 point (example 1 point = 1 €). In this case the gift will not be an item but a discount.
  • For use of all gift points, check "consume all points after choosing gifts.

Example: I have 25 points and I can benefit from a gift at 20 points, the balance of my points after consuming the gift will be 0.

  • Choose whether the customer can pick up their gift without making a purchase.
  • Choose to display an alert banner to see the customer's cumulative number of points and the points of the current sale.
  • Possibility to opt for the reset of loyalty points if the customer has not made a purchase for one year.
  • Check "Activation of customer loyalty points" (which allows you to go to step 2 for the setting of gifts).
  • Save the setting.
  • Ability to modify the rules if necessary, the points acquired by customers will not be modified.

Example:

1 point corresponds to 10€ spent

Then click on the "Levels" tab to set the loyalty levels.

Example:

Level 1 = 10 points (i.e. €100 spent)

Level 2 = 20 points (i.e. €200 spent)

Level 1 = 30 points (i.e. €300 spent)

Level 2 = 40 points (i.e. €400 spent)

No limitation on the number of levels.

Step 2: Setting up the gifts to be offered as part of this loyalty program:

Prerequisites: the product sheet must exist in Fastmag

Path: Managing > Product Sheet > select a product sheet

From the selected product sheet, define if it is concerned by the loyalty program and at what level it will be assigned.

Repeat the operation for the products to be offered under this loyalty program.

Step 3 if the gift is a discount:

Example if the gift is a discount: fill in the point level(s) (here 500 and 1000 points)

Once the setting is in place and active, create the product sheet(s) to apply a discount rather than a gift when the customer has accumulated points.

Creating the product sheet

Path: Management / Product / Product sheet / create a product sheet

Fill in the reference, the family (~ in front of the family allows you to disengage from the stock) and the supplier.

Choose from the drop-down menu which point level the discount corresponds to

Click on " Save"

Specify the amount of the discount preceded by the sign "-", save and apply to stock lines.

Return to the sheet tab and propagate the product sheet to the store(s) to be able to use the " Discount" gift.

It is possible to create several discounts.

Step 4: Using the loyalty program:

In the sales interface, enter a sale normally and call a customer back.

A new "Gifts" button provides access to the choice by level of eligible gifts for the customer.

Click on "Gifts" to find out the number of points available to this customer as well as the gifts to which he is entitled.

From this interface, visualization of all the gifts offered (even if the number of points available is not sufficient).


Careful:
Cannot select a gift if the customer does not have enough points.

The points used are updated or reset to 0 depending on the setting made in the use of the points (total consumption or not when using the points).
