E - Fastmag, a cloud application

What is a cloud application?

Fastmag is a cloud application. This means that the core of the application as well as its data resides on the Fastmag servers, and you access it via an application. This application can itself be an online application.

This application for accessing Fastmag can have multiple forms:

• Application installed on your computer => the "Fastmag client"
• Website of the online Fastmag application
• Mobile application (Fastmag Manager, Mobile Sales, ...)
• Online shop linked to the Fastmag app
• Website of the module "EBusiness" linked to the module Fastmag Négoce

Whatever the application chosen, the same data is used, the same treatments are carried out.

Thus, whether through the collection station, the site of the online application or any other client application, the user accesses the same unique database, which resides on the Fastmag servers.

The benefits are manifold. In particular, this makes it possible to:

• Data security

Security Management:

Security management is one of Fastmag's priorities. In particular, it concerns two aspects: connection security and data security.

Database connections are authenticated via login and password login. All communications with the server are protected by the HTTPS protocol, which is now the standard for online applications.

With this mode of communication, all exchanges between the computer (or mobile) and the server are encrypted, including the connection and authentication phase.

Data security is ensured by the fact that the data is hosted in a data center, and no longer on a local computer, or a corporate server. Thus, the application benefits from the most advanced security and backups.

Access levels and user profiles:

Users have access to the same database. This allows everyone to access the same information at the same time.

However, not all users will have access to the same levels of information, and they will not all have access to the same features. These two settings are managed for each user at the store level, through the access tier.

The level of access of a user on a store is used to define the actions that the user can perform at the level of this store. If a user has no level of access to a given store, they will not have access to any information about that store.

The default access levels are suitable for many companies. However, Fastmag allows you to customize and adapt access rights in several ways.
