Bins are used to determine a counting and scanning zone, so that products can be identified in which zone they have been counted. This solution makes it possible to locate, check and correct products counted in zones more directly in the inventory.

3.3 Resetting Quantities to zero: locations

Must be done before starting an inventory, for each location.

Clear location: clears the list of products paged to targets:

Warning :
Quantities must be 0. If this is not the case, move to the black arrow in front of the zone and empty it, then confirm deletion.

You can add, rename or delete a location by positioning yourself on the relevant location (black arrow) and clicking on the desired action.

Transmit inventory: sends completed information to the server. It is advisable to do this after each zone. This is because the file sent to the central server is based on the inventory files and the location stored on the store's local hard disk in the c directory: \ program files \ fastmag boutique \ data.

In all cases, it is essential to follow an inventory transmission before launching inventory printouts and validation.

Wired scanner and inventory scanner, Summary of in-store inventory procedure:

It is imperative to empty all locations (corresponding to the previous inventory) before starting the inventory, and to empty the inventory scanner of its quantities. We therefore need to page a new inventory with empty slots.

If there is an inventory in several stores, it is imperative to take one inventory per store. A single computer can be used, to which the inventory scanner cradle is connected.

It is always possible to use as many handhelds as required to carry out the inventory.

1. Launch total or partial inventory procedure
2. Open inventory procedure

  • Warehouse status Inventory / inventory warehouse products
  • Create different bins. If already created, empty them.
  • It is also possible to delete and recreate new bins.
  • Select a location by positioning yourself in it with the black arrow.

3. Options :

  • If you're using an inventory scanner, click on "Read scanner" to collect the gencods, and information will be transferred between the scanner and the PC.
  • If using a wired handheld scanner, beep the barcodes directly after selecting the location.
  • If adding manually: enter part number, color and size.
Reminders   :
  • In case of doubt or error, click on "Empty slot". This will delete the contents of the selected slot only.
  • To modify the quantities of a single line, click on the line concerned (middle section), then press "Enter" on the keyboard. Then enter the new quantity.
  • To delete a line, position yourself on the line to be deleted, press the "Enter" key, enter a zero quantity and confirm your entry. The line is then automatically deleted.
  • Repeat the operation on another location.

Finally, click on "Transmit" if you have finished all your locations, or after each location. An inventory can be transmitted several times without any effect.

4. Check and, if necessary, modify quantities in inventory modifications.

5. Edit statements of differences, actual stock statements and inventory reports and save to a file on C: /.

6. Validate and confirm inventory

Tip :
It is possible to use both types of shower simultaneously during your inventory. While the inventory scanner is collecting barcodes, you can use your wired handheld to beep other products directly in the chosen location. It is also possible to integrate a file in txt format.

NB :  create a file1, file2 location before importing.
